Abstract
Discolomatidae is a small beetle family that has been neglected in recent taxonomic studies. Only a few recent papers deal with local faunas, leaving many regions of the world virtually unexplored with respect to this group of beetles. Recent examination of material from the Naturhistorisches Museum in Wien revealed an outstanding new taxon, which is described here as Sundaloma seideli gen. et sp. nov. Despite its unusual morphology, such as the anteriorly extended pronotum entirely covering the head from above and the broadly expanded femora and tarsi, other features allow this new genus to be placed in the tribe Aphanocephalini.

Abstract
The thread-legged bug genus Chinemesa Wygodzinsky, 1966 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Emesinae: Emesini) is a small group of five species endemic to the Oriental Region. However, the species diversity of this genus is still far from completely explored, especially in the mainland of Asia. Here we describe three new species, C. ornata sp. n., C. pulchella sp. n. and C. weilingfengi sp. n., from southern China. Based on the newly sequenced mitochondrial genomes of four Chinemesa species, we detected two gene rearrangement patterns in the genus: a translocation of trnI and trnQ in all four species, and a loss of trnW in C. pulchella sp. n. Both gene rearrangements are novel within Reduviidae as well as Heteroptera, and can be explained by the tandem duplication-random loss (TDRL) model. Phylogenetic analyses based on mitogenomic datasets recovered the monophyly of Chinemesa, with the translocation of trnI - trnQ as a potential molecular synapomorphy for the genus.

Abstract
Two new species of the leafhopper genus Eurhadina Haupt, 1929 (Typhlocybinae, Typhlocybini) from China are described and illustrated: E. (Eurhadina) cervina Tang, sp. nov. and E. (Eurhadina) dashuensis Tang, sp. nov. A key to the subgenera of Eurhadina, a key to the Chinese species of E. (Eurhadina) Haupt, 1929, and an appendix with a checklist of Chinese Eurhadina species are provided. The subgenus and species E. (Zhihadina) sinica Yang & Li, 1991 are treated as nomen dubia and incertae sedis in Typhlocybinae. Diagnoses of the recognized subgenera are provided, and figures of E. (Singhardina) rubrocorona Cai & Kuoh, 1993 are given for comparison with the nominate subgenus.

Los aislamientos fueron obtenidos a partir de muestras recolectadas en la laguna hipersalina de Galerazamba (Bolívar, Colombia) y en ambientes asociados a las piscinas de evaporación utilizadas para la producción de sal. Las cepas fueron identificadas mediante análisis fenotípicos y secuenciación del gen ARNr 16S y serán depositadas en la Colección de Microorganismos de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
Este conjunto de datos documenta información taxonómica, geográfica, temporal y curatorial de las cepas, con el propósito de contribuir al conocimiento de la biodiversidad microbiana halófila de Colombia y poner a disposición de la comunidad científica información estandarizada sobre los microorganismos preservados en la colección.

Las muestras fueron procesadas para establecer cultivos de enriquecimiento bajo condiciones controladas de salinidad, con el fin de favorecer el aislamiento de microorganismos halófilos representativos de este ecosistema.\n\nMetodología\nEl diseño metodológico combinó estrategias dependientes e independientes de cultivo:\n\nEnfoque dependiente de cultivo: aislamiento y caracterización fenotípica y molecular (marcador 16S rRNA) de cepas halófilas cultivables, incluyendo bacterias, arqueas y microalgas.\nEnfoque independiente de cultivo: análisis metagenómico de las comunidades microbianas presentes en muestras ambientales y de enriquecimiento, permitiendo obtener un perfil taxonómico y funcional más amplio del ecosistema.\nEvaluación de bioactividad: determinación de la capacidad antioxidante y antimicrobiana de extractos obtenidos a partir de los aislados halófilos, como aproximación inicial a su potencial biotecnológico.","relatedProjects":[],"abstract":"Pese a la enorme diversidad biológica que alberga Colombia, el conocimiento sobre sus microorganismos continúa siendo limitado, a pesar del potencial biotecnológico que estos representan. Fungal growth is a natural process during cadaver decomposition, especially in cadavers that have been exposed to the outdoors or have been exhumed. The presence of fungi is often overlooked, although their potential is increasingly recognized. Currently, studies comparing the composition of the mycobiota at various stages of cadaver decomposition, as well as case reports, are available. Several cases have been described in which fungal growth on cadavers was used in practice to determine the time elapsed since death. Unfortunately, little is still known about the composition and growth rate of fungi on human cadavers. In our project, we focused on material from cadavers at various stages of decomposition and those stored for an extended period in a cold storage facility, with macroscopically visible fungal growth. We expect that storing cadavers in a cold storage facility will affect the composition of their mycobiota and stimulate the growth of psychrophilic and psychrotolerant species.\n\nIsolates of microscopic fungi have already been identified using phenotypic and molecular methods. The main stages of the project involve determining their enzymatic profile and, in the case of fungi with pathogenic potential, their susceptibility to standard antifungal drugs. Abstract
The collar-door wishbone spiders of the genus Kwonkan Main, 1983 are an Australian-endemic lineage of mygalomorph spiders that often construct elaborate burrow entrances, including collars and turrets, and remain poorly documented across their range, despite museum collections indicating high local endemism and substantial undescribed diversity. Much of the existing taxonomy, including nine of the 14 currently described species, was based on limited material and lacked modern morphological or molecular approaches to species delimitation, hindering efforts to document the remaining diversity and address conservation concerns. Here, we redescribe all nine legacy species and review Kwonkan diversity within the south-western Western Australian (SWWA) agricultural region, a highly fragmented and mostly cleared landscape harbouring extensive undescribed diversity and the threatened species K. eboracum Main, 1983. In the process, we clarify species identities, present the first molecular data for several species including K. eboracum, and describe two new species (K. elatus sp. nov. and K. yorkrakine sp. nov.) that were previously attributed to legacy species. In our review of the SWWA agricultural region fauna we identify 29 putative undescribed species and a pattern of extensive sympatry, fine-scale species turnover, and extremely restricted ranges. These findings highlight the need for continued revisionary work and potential conservation listing of additional described species such as K. wonganensis (Main, 1977).

Abstract
Misgurnus mohoity (Dybowski, 1869) is recorded for the first time from the Korean Peninsula based on specimens collected from South Korea. It is distinguished from other Korean Misgurnus by the following characteristics: 48–50 total vertebrae; 19–20 caudal vertebrae; 164–180 lateral line scales; a poleaxe-shaped lamina circularis with a shallow neckline at the base in mature males; and a slender, elongated caudal peduncle with a CPL / CPD (caudal peduncle length / caudal peduncle depth) ratio of> 1.7 and an LPC / DPA (the projected length from the posterior edge of the anal fin base to the base of the caudal fin to the projected length from the pelvic fin insertion point to the anterior edge of the anal fin base) ratio of> 1.1. Mitochondrial cyt b gene analysis revealed that the Korean specimens form a monophyletic clade (100 % bootstrap support) with populations from Russia, China, and North Korea, exhibiting a high genetic distance (K 2 P: 10.04 %) from other Korean congeners. A new Korean name, “ Ga-neun-mi-ggu-ri ”, is proposed based on the slender and elongated shape of the body and caudal peduncle. These findings provide crucial biogeographical evidence for understanding the dispersal and differentiation of the genus Misgurnus in Northeast Asia.

Abstract
The female of the genus Metashinobius is recorded for the first time, and two new species from Yunnan, China, are described: M. daweishan sp. nov. (♀) and M. dulongjiang sp. nov. (♂ ♀). In addition, the diagnosis and description of Metashinobius are further refined. Morphological descriptions and photos of the habitus and copulatory organs are provided.

Abstract
Two new species of Pupiformus gen. nov., P. apodus sp. nov. and P. rugosus sp. nov., belonging to the copepod order Siphonostomatoida, are described based on specimens collected from washings of benthic animals (invertebrates and fish) dredged from the Korea Strait at a depth of 116–123 m. Pupiformus gen. nov. is characterized by having a 6 - segmented, pupiform body, an unilobed maxillule, and a cephalothoracic shield divided into a dorsal tergite and two lateral pleurites, as well as by lacking legs, maxillae, and a mandibular stylet. Pupiformus rugosus sp. nov. differs from P. apodus sp. nov. in having a smaller body (about 500 μm long, compared to about 900 μm in P. apodus sp. nov.), rugose dorsal tubercles on the cephalothorax and metasomites (vs smooth tubercles in P. apodus sp. nov.), a 5 - segmented antennule (vs 4 - segmented in P. apodus sp. nov.), two long apical setae on the mandibular palp (vs three setae in P. apodus sp. nov.), a 4 - segmented female maxilliped (vs 3 - segmented in P. apodus sp. nov.), and by lacking caudal rami (present in P. apodus sp. nov.). Since the new genus cannot be assigned to any existing family of the Copepoda, a new family-level taxon, Pupiformidae fam. nov., is established to accommodate it.

Abstract
Despite the publication of numerous papers, spanning the period from the 19 th century to recent times, that have been devoted to the faunistics and taxonomy of the herpetological fauna of the Caucasus Biodiversity Hotspot, the actual species diversity of the region still remains unclear. Some formally described taxa lack comprehensive validation based on integrative phylogenetic and biogeographic evidence, whereas other nominal species have been questioned or synonymized in subsequent studies. In this paper, we present an annotated checklist of 12 amphibian and 56 reptile species recorded from Georgia, accompanied by taxonomic remarks based on current molecular, morphological, and biogeographic knowledge. Most taxa are represented by DNA barcodes (COI) generated within the Caucasus Barcoding of Life (CaBOL) project and deposited in institutional collections and international databases. We explicitly distinguish between biologically confirmed species, effectively isolated from their closest relatives, and candidate species whose status requires further validation; particularly in cases where contact zones and potential clinal variation remain insufficiently studied. The checklist is supplemented with specimen photographs and generalised distribution maps. Overall, we aim to contribute to a more transparent and critically evaluated taxonomic framework for the herpetofauna of Georgia and the broader Caucasus region.
