Abstract
Calyptospadix cerulea Clarke, 1882 is a colonial athecate hydrozoan known for forming dense biofouling communities, having broad environmental tolerance and global yet taxonomically obscured distribution. Here, we confirm for the first time its presence in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea (Gulf of Gdańsk), marking a significant range expansion into the Baltic Proper. We support our morphology-based identification, with the first molecular data for C. cerulea, allowing its phylogenetic placement within a clade alongside Bimeria vestita Wright, 1859 and Cordylophora caspia (Pallas, 1771), therefore suggesting reassignment to the family Cordylophoridae. We also reviewed historical occurrence data of C. cerulea, spanning nearly 150 years of research, to provide up-to-date description of its distribution range. In addition, our in situ observations suggest that C. cerulea plays an important role in providing secondary substrate for number of species in benthic environments of the southern Baltic Sea. As C. cerulea is likely well-suited to the Baltic’s variable brackish conditions, its presence raises concerns about potential ecological impacts on native fouling communities and industrial infrastructure. Given its ecological plasticity and expanding range, we emphasize the need for continued monitoring and further research into its population dynamics, ecological interactions, and potential impacts.

Our analyses showed that the type series of Hisonotus notatus, type species of the genus, is mixed, composed by two different species. Based on that, we redescribe H. notatus with the designation of a lectotype, restricting the species to rio São João drainage and other small coastal drainages running to the Baía de Guanabara and to the Baía de Sepetiba in Rio de Janeiro State. We also describe a new species of Hisonotus from drainages of the rio Paraíba do Sul, Lagoa Feia, rio Macaé, and coastal rivers of Espírito Santo State, from rio Itabapoana to rio Doce basin. These two species are sister-taxa and can be distinguished by the number of plates in the mid-dorsal series.
Nossas análises mostraram que a série-tipo de Hisonotus notatus, espécie-tipo do gênero, é mista, composta por duas diferentes espécies. Baseado nisso, nós redescrevemos H. notatus com a designação de um lectótipo, restringindo a espécie à drenagem do rio São João e outras pequenas drenagens que correm para a Baía de Guanabara e para a Baía de Sepetiba no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Também descrevemos uma nova espécie de Hisonotus das drenagens do rio Paraíba do Sul, Lagoa Feia, rio Macaé e rios costeiros do estado do Espírito Santo, do rio Itabapoana à bacia do rio Doce. Essas duas espécies são táxons irmãos e podem ser distinguidas pelo número de placas na série médio-dorsal.

A taxonomic revision and phylogenetic analysis were completed for Dasyloricaria. The genus includes three valid species: D. filamentosa and D. latiura previously included in the genus, and a new species described herein. Dasyloricaria have a restricted trans-Andean distribution, with D. filamentosa occurring at the lower and middle Magdalena, lower Cauca, and Sinu in Colombia, and lago Maracaibo basin in Colombia and Venezuela; D. latiura in the Atrato and the Tuyra basins in Colombia and Panama, respectively; and the new species in the upper and middle Magdalena basin in Colombia. New synonyms for D. filamentosa and D. latiura are proposed, and a lectotype is designated for the latter. Dasyloricaria is herein recognized as monophyletic, with D. filamentosa as the sister group of D. latiura, and the new species as sister to that clade. Spatuloricaria is hypothesized to be the sister group of Dasyloricaria based on synapomorphies of the neurocranium, branchial arches and external morphology features. The subtribe Rineloricariina was partially corroborated through the phylogenetic analysis. An identification key for the species of Dasyloricaria is provided.
Una revisión taxonómica y análisis filogenético fueron realizados para Dasyloricaria. El género incluye tres especies válidas: D. filamentosa y D. latiura previamente incluidas en el género, y una especie nueva descrita en este estudio. Dasyloricaria presenta una distribución estrictamente Transandina, con D. filamentosa ocurriendo en las porciones baja y media del rio Magdalena, bajo Cauca, y en el rio Sinú en Colombia, y en el lago Maracaibo en Colombia y Venezuela; D. latiura en la cuenca de los ríos Atrato y Tuyra en Colombia y Panamá, respectivamente; y la especie nueva en las porciones alta y media del rio Magdalena en Colombia. Nuevas sinonimias para D. filamentosa y D. latiura son propuestas, y el lectotipo es designado para esta última. Dasyloricaria es aquí reconocido como monofilético, con D. filamentosa como el grupo hermano de D. latiura, y la especie nueva como el grupo hermano de ese clado. Spatuloricaria es propuesto como el grupo hermano de Dasyloricaria, este clado está soportado por sinapomorfías del neurocráneo, arcos branquiales y características de morfología externa. La sub-tribu Rineloricariina fue parcialmente corroborada a partir del análisis filogenético. Una clave de identificación para las especies de Dasyloricaria es presentada.

Specimens referred to Jenynsia (Plesiojenynsia) unitaenia from the Tramandaí-Mampituba ecoregion were genetically compared in order to obtain their phylogeographic relationships. Molecular analysis estimated that populations from rio Mampituba and rio Araranguá diverged from rio Maquiné and rio Três Forquilhas populations during the Pleistocene (about 1.2 million years ago). Further, morphological analysis allowed the diagnosis of these two lineages based on the color pattern, as is common among the species of the subgenus Plesiojenynsia. Thus they are referred to as separate species: Jenynsia unitaenia restricted to the rio Araranguá and rio Mampituba, and a new species from rio Maquiné and rio Três Forquilhas. The pattern of historical relationships of these species of Jenynsia among Tramandaí-Mampituba ecoregion drainages differs from those described for other endemic fish taxa.

ABSTRACT
We here provide the first description of fossil remains of the colubrid snake cf. Zamenis situla from Crete, Greece, originating from the Late Pleistocene of the Rethymnon fissure. Although Zamenis situla (Linnaeus, 1758) is a widespread snake species in Greece, including Crete, its fossil record in the area has thus far been restricted to Middle Pleistocene material from Tourkobounia 2, near Athens, which also represents the sole confirmed fossil occurrence of the species. We provide a comparison of the fossil specimens to other extant Cretan snakes, and highlight key morphological features that distinguish it from other colubrids. This fossil material provides further support to recent molecular studies suggesting long-term presence of Z. situla on the island. However, due to the scarcity of the fossil record, it remains unclear whether Z. situla inhabited Crete continuously since the Late Pleistocene or was instead reintroduced to it later on. Finally, we investigate skeletal material of Z. situla, providing anatomical descriptions of key cranial and vertebral structures, which could facilitate in future fossil identifications and comparisons among colubrid snakes.

Premiers restes fossiles du colubridé actuel Zamenis situla (Linnaeus, 1758) (Serpentes) provenant de l’île de Crète, en Grèce.
Nous fournissons ici la première description de restes fossiles du serpent colubridé cf. Zamenis situla en provenance de Crète, en Grèce, datant du Pléistocène tardif et issus de la fissure de Réthymnon. Bien que Zamenis situla (Linnaeus, 1758) soit une espèce de serpent largement répandue en Grèce, y compris en Crète, son registre fossile dans la région était jusqu’à présent limité au Pléistocène moyen de Tourkobounia 2, près d’Athènes, qui constitue également la seule occurrence fossile confirmée de l’espèce. Nous comparons les spécimens fossiles à d’autres serpents crétois actuels et mettons en évidence les caractéristiques morphologiques clés qui le distinguent des autres colubridés. Ce matériel fossile apporte un soutien supplémentaire aux études moléculaires récentes suggérant une présence à long terme de Z. situla sur l’île. Cependant, en raison de la rareté du registre fossile, il reste incertain si Z. situla a habité la Crète de manière continue depuis le Pléistocène tardif ou s’il y a été réintro-duit ultérieurement. Enfin, nous examinons le matériel squelettique de Z. situla, en fournissant des descriptions anatomiques des structures clés du crâne et des vertèbres, ce qui pourrait faciliter les futures identifications fossiles et les comparaisons entre les colubridés.

Species of Hoplosternum sensu lato are taxonomically revised. The species of the former H. littorale group constitute the genus Hoplosternum sensu stricto. The species of the former H. thoracatum group are placed in Megalechis, new genus, and the species of the former H. pectorale group in Lepthoplosternum, new genus. Three new species of Lepthoplosternum are described: L. altamazonicus from the upper reaches of the Rio Amazonas in Peru, L. beni from the Rio Madeira system in Bolivia, and L. tordilho from the laguna dos Patos system in southern Brazil. Lectotypes are designated for Callichthys melampterus and C. sulcatus. Callichthys melampterus, Cascadura maculocephala, H. littorale daillyi and H. thoracatum cayennae are junior synonyms of H. littorale. Hoplosternum thoracatum surinamensis and C. exaratus are junior synonyms of M. personata. Callichthys pictus, C. sulcatus and H. orinocoi are junior synonyms of M. thoracata. A key to genera of subfamily Callichthyinae as well keys to species of Hoplosternum, Megalechis and Lepthoplosternum are provided.
As espécies de Hoplosternum sensu lato são revisadas taxonomicamente. As espécies de Hoplosternum grupo littorale permanecem no gênero Hoplosternum sensu strito. As espécies de Hoplosternum grupo thoracatum são transferidas para Megalechis gênero novo e as espécies de Hoplosternum grupo pectorale para Lepthoplosternum gênero novo. Três novas espécies de Lepthoplosternum são descritas: L. altamazonicus do alto rio Amazonas, no Peru; L. beni do sistema do rio Madeira, na Bolivia; e L. tordilho do sistema da laguna dos Patos no sul do Brazil. Lectótipos são designados para Callichthys melampterus e C. sulcatus. Resumen
Phengodes Illiger, 1807 es uno de los géneros más diversos de la Phengodidae (Coleoptera) en México. Sin embargo, la carencia de una síntesis taxonómica actualizada ha obstaculizado significativamente los estudios sobre este grupo. Con el objetivo de subsanar esta brecha, presentamos una revisión exhaustiva del género en México. Este trabajo documenta con diagnosis y material fotográfico, las 14 especies previamente descritas, y además se describen siete especies adicionales: Phengodes dugesi sp. nov., Phengodes mime sp. nov., Phengodes dichoclypeus sp. nov., Phengodes huatulcoensis sp. nov., Phengodes mejiabernale sp. nov., Phengodes yaxoquintelaensis sp. nov. y Phengodes wittmeri sp. nov., totalizando 21 especies de Phengodes en México. Se proveen mapas de ocurrencia y una clave taxonómica para identificar las especies. Este trabajo contribuye a la comprensión de la diversidad y distribución de Phengodes en México, al incrementar el conocimiento sobre la diversidad y morfología del grupo.

Abstract
The family Apiosporaceae is a cosmopolitan family of fungi that occurs as endophytes, pathogens, and saprobes. Due to the morphological similarity of species within this family, both morphological and phylogenetic analyses are required to determine their taxonomic status. In this study, eleven specimens were collected from Yunnan and Guizhou provinces in China. Morphological and phylogenetic analyses based on ITS, LSU, tef 1 - α, and tub 2 sequence data were performed to identify Apiospora (A.) and Nigrospora (N.) isolates. Five new species are described: A. huaxiensis sp. nov., A. nanmingensis sp. nov., A. qingzhenensis sp. nov., A. tongrenensis sp. nov., and Nigrospora neosaccharicola sp. nov. Six new host record species are reported: A. locuta-pollinis, A. setariae, N. chinensis, N. endophytica, N. osmanthi, and N. sphaerica. Furthermore, A. mediterranea syn. nov. is synonymized under A. hispanica, and A. euphorbiae syn. nov., A. magnispora syn. nov., and A. malaysiana syn. nov. are reduced to synonyms of A. vietnamensis based on morphological comparison and phylogenetic analysis. In addition, Apiospora sinensis is reinstated, with Arthrinium sinense (Ar. sinense) syn. nov. treated as its synonym. Statistical analysis of host preferences indicates that Poaceae is the dominant host family. Analysis of their regional distributions showed that Apiospora is more prevalent in Europe, while Nigrospora is more widespread in Asia. This study refines the taxonomy and expands the phylogenetic understanding of Apiosporaceae in China.

Abstract
This article reports a checklist of the Pieridae of Yunnan and is presented with distributional and taxonomic notes. In total, 87 species are confirmed their distribution in Yunnan with 61 in Pierinae, 23 in Coliadinae, and three in Dismorphiinae. Delias belladonna yedanula Frustorfer, 1910 is synonymised with Delias belladonna var. adelma Mitis, 1893 (syn. nov.) based on overlapping distribution range and indistinguishable morphological characters. Male and female genitalia of Gandaca harina (Horsfield, 1829) are illustrated to support the establishment of subtribe Gandacina Grishin, 2023, which was done originally based on molecular evidence. Eurema simulatrix sarinoides (Evans, 1927) is confirmed as the valid name representing the population in S. Yunnan after literature and type specimen analyses. A Lectotype in the Natural History Museum (London, UK) was designated for both Terias lacteola sarinoides Evans, 1927 and for Eurema simulatrix stockleyi Talbot, 1939, which fixes the name sarinoides to the taxon as the valid subspecies name while making stockleyi its junior objective synonym (syn. nov.). Dercas nina Mell, 1913 and Pontia butleri (Moore, 1882) are recorded for the first time in Yunnan, with the specimens and male genitalia illustrated. In addition, 23 taxa that require further confirmation of their presence in Yunnan and those that do not occur in Yunnan are enumerated after the list.

Abstract
The known brachypterous and micropterous species of the cosmopolitan genus Hormius Nees, 1819 are reviewed. Two new species of this genus, H. haeselbarthi sp. nov. and H. helleni sp. nov., are described and illustrated. The distribution of H. minialatus Tobias, 1977 is discussed. A key for determination of the Hormius subgenera and all known brachypterous and micropterous species is provided.

Abstract
While revising Amphisbaena specimens deposited in the herpetological collection of the Núcleo Regional de Ofiologia da Universidade Federal do Ceará (NUROF—UFC), we identified specimens belonging to an undescribed species. After a detailed comparison with their congeners, we describe a new species collected in the municipalities of Aracati and Icapuí in the coastal zone of the state of Ceará, Brazil. The new species is characterized by the presence of six pre-cloacal pores arranged in sequence, absence of shields forming the parietal region and three supralabial shields, in addition to having 257–272 body annuli and 31–34 caudal annuli. Amphisbaena eleutheria sp. nov. inhabits coastal plains, an area affected by environmental degradation and various activities related to energy generation, including at least five wind farms currently in operation.

Abstract
Seven species of Trechnites Thomson from China are taxonomically studied. Three species are newly described: T. cacopsyllae Zou, Zu & Zhang, sp. nov., T. monticola Zou, Zu & Zhang, sp. nov. and T. yunnanensis Zou, Zu & Zhang, sp. nov. An additional species, T. concinnus Kazmi and Hayat, is newly reported from China. Diagnoses or descriptions, microphotos of key characters, as well as the known distribution and hosts of each species are provided. A dichotomous key is also given to facilitate the identification of species.

Abstract
This study revises Sinoxylon Duftschmid, 1825, the largest genus in the family Bostrichidae. A key to the 48 species recognized is provided and descriptions and photographs of the species. Sinoxylon convexicauda Lesne, 1932b stat. nov. and S. spathiferum Lesne, 1906 stat. nov. are raised to species from subspecies of S. marseuli Lesne, 1895 and S. transvaalense Lesne, 1895 respectively. The following synonymy is proposed: Sinoxylon rejectum (Hope, 1845) (= S. eucerum Lesne, 1932b syn. nov. = S. japonicum Lesne, 1895 syn. nov.); Sinoxylon tignarium Lesne, 1902 (= S. mangiferae Chūjō, 1936 syn. nov. = Sinoxylon pygmaeum annamitumi Lesne, 1938 syn. nov.); Sinoxylon ruficorne Fåhraeus, 1872 (= S. erasicauda Lesne, 1906 syn. nov. = Sinoxylon ruficorne guineense Lesne, 1906 syn. nov.); Sinoxylon ceratoniae (L., 1758) (= S. succisum Lesne, 1895 syn. nov.); S. doliolum Lesne, 1906 (= S. cuneolus Lesne, 1906 syn. nov.); Sinoxylon atratum Lesne, 1897 (= S inoxylon atratum kohlarianum Lesne, 1906 syn. nov.). It is confirmed that Apatodes macleayi Blackburn, 1889 nonem oblitum is conspecific with Sinoxylon anale Lesne, 1897 nomen protectum.

Abstract
Anolis laevis Cope 1876, a poorly known South American anole characterized by an unusual rudimentary rostral appendage, had not been observed since its original description 150 years ago. Here, we report the rediscovery of A. laevis within approximately 50 to 100 km of its type locality in eastern Peru, including two adult males and, for the first time, adult females. Morphological analyses confirm pronounced sexual dimorphism, with females lacking the proboscis. This trait parallels the condition seen in other species of Anolis with a proboscis and may represent evolutionary convergence of the appendage in different lineages. We provide a detailed redescription of A. laevis, highlighting diagnostic morphological traits that distinguish it from other proboscid and morphologically similar South American Anolis species. Unusual traits of A. laevis include large head scales including few loreal rows, a distinct dorsal crest, presence of a dewlap in both sexes, and sexually dimorphic dewlap coloration. Our findings contribute to clarifying the taxonomy and morphological variation of poorly known anoles.

Abstract
The taxonomy of the crickets of the genus Rhicnogryllus Chopard, 1925 is reviewed, with a focus on species from the Philippines. Previously, only two species were known from the Philippines: the type species Rhicnogryllus fascipes Chopard, 1925 and Rhicnogryllus? paetensis Tan, Yap & Baroga-Barbecho, 2020. Based on new material collected from Mindanao and Visayas regions, we describe three new species from Mindanao: Rhicnogryllus olivaceus Tan & Alo, sp. nov., Rhicnogryllus pictus Tan & Daguplo, sp. nov. and Rhicnogryllus vittatus Tan & Daguplo, sp. nov. We also record a new locality for Rhicnogryllus bipunctatus Ingrisch, 1987 in Negros Island, having previously been known only from Borneo. Consequently, six species presently exist in the Philippines.

Abstract
A new species of the genus Leptobrachella is described from northern Guangxi, China, which emphasizes the significant and ongoing underestimation of amphibian diversity within the genus in the karst regions of southwestern China. The new species is phylogenetically sister to Leptobrachella maoershanensis in the 16S ribosomal RNA mitochondrial gene, and can be distinguished from all known congeners by a combination of morphological characteristics. It inhabits montane streams (1200–1400 m a.s.l.) in Guangxi Huaping National Nature Reserve and is sympatric with L. dong but segregates reproductively (breeding May–July vs. February–April), suggesting phenological separation as a key isolation mechanism for their coexistence. Leptobrachella cathaya sp. nov. faces severe anthropogenic threats, including habitat degradation from tourism and plantations, necessitating immediate conservation actions such as regulated access and enhanced population monitoring.

Abstract
New records are given of the genus Koenikea from northern and eastern Australia. The following six new species are described: Koenikea yorkensis sp. nov., K. brachypalpis sp. nov., K. interstitialis sp. nov., K. inconspicua sp. nov., K. caniaensis sp. nov. and K. tuberculata sp. nov. The male of Koenikea piota Cook, 1986 is described for the first time. A key is provided for all Australian Koenikea species.

Abstract
A new species, Idaea yunnanaura sp. nov., closely related to the European species Idaea ochrata (Bright wave), is described from Yunnan, China. The species is supported by both molecular and morphological data. Diagnoses and illustrations of the adult morphology and genitalia are provided.
