For selected rare species, the locationRemarks field includes habitat descriptions indicating where the species was observed by the authors or reported in the literature.","sampling":"The dataset is based on data from route-floristic surveys conducted by Shevchyk V.L. and Spriahailo O.V. between 1997 and 2023. The species list was compiled in the form of a list of taxa for the Park territory without exact coordinates and observation dates; the latitude and longitude coordinates for the findings are the centroids of the projected Park boundaries, and the date is indicated as 1997-2023. In June 2023 Spriahailo O.V.  and Spriahailo O.A. discovered a number of orchid species in the southwestern part of the park. On April 27, 2024, Lavrinenko K.V. conducted a botanical excursion in the western part of the park, recording all the plant species found. On August 7, 2025, Lavrinenko K.V.  and Shamray O.V. carried out vegetation releves in the southwestern part of the park and discovered several species new to the Park's flora. For the species we recorded during 2023-2025, we provided more accurate coordinates (centroids of the surveyed areas for the 2023 and 2024 findings and accurate GPS coordinates for the 2025 findings) and exact dates. The flora summary was supplemented with data from literature sources for 1935-1957.","qualityControl":"Taxonomic names, authorships, and synonyms were verified using Vascular Plants of Ukraine (Mosyakin & Fedoronchuk 1999), the Euro+Med PlantBase, and additional standardization was performed using OpenRefine to ensure consistent formatting and spelling.\n\nRecords based on literature sources include full bibliographic references, allowing users to trace species occurrences back to their original publications. Species presence and habitat information were validated based on their known distribution within the Cherkasy Region and ecological plausibility. \n\nGeoreferencing was performed in QGIS. For records lacking precise coordinates, centroid coordinates of the proposed National Park were used, and a coordinateUncertaintyInMeters value appropriate to the data source was assigned. A footprintWKT polygon was added that slightly exceeds the projected boundaries of the planned National Park in order to encompass the full spatial uncertainty of literature-based and historical records.
