Abstract. – The study of one new scorpion specimen from Cretaceous Burmite authorises the description of a new species of Cretaceoushormiops Lourenço, 2018 and brings further information about this genus. The new species shows quite distinct characters, particularly the confirmation of a majorante trichobothriotaxy and extremely reduced median eyes. The number of species in this genus is raised to four.
