Two species are documented: the widely distributed Evania appendigaster (Linnaeus, 1758) and the Mediterranean species Zeuxevania splendidula (Costa, 1884). Z. splendidula is recorded for the first time in Macaronesia, with specimens collected using yellow sticky traps in vineyard habitats along the north coast of Madeira. E. appendigaster was sporadically collected in urban environments. A total of 16 specimens were recorded. These findings represent the first verified occurrences of the family Evaniidae on Madeira Island, contributing new data for the region.
