The Checklist of non-native freshwater fauna in Portugal is a species checklist dataset published by Pedro Anastácio (MARE - Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre at University of Évora, Portugal). It contains information about non-native freshwater species established in Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira archipelagos between 1800 and 2019. This species checklist was first assembled in 2019 (Anastácio et al 2019) and was enriched with more taxa and information in 2025. Here it is published as a standardized Darwin Core Archive and includes for each species: the location (mainland, Azores or Madeira), year of first observation, introduction pathway.
