The checklist comprises 347 species belonging to 197 genera and 54 families and was compiled from 973 geobotanical relevés. A substantial proportion of the geobotanical data was collected during field surveys conducted between 2021 and 2025 in Surkhandarya, Bukhara and Khorezm Regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Historical geobotanical records available in the IBIS database, as well as published geobotanical and floristic sources, including materials from Vegetation Cover of Uzbekistan, were also used in compiling the checklist.\nThe recent field investigations were conducted within the framework of the fundamental research project F-FA-2021-450, “History of the Formation and Current Development Trends of Tugai Vegetation in Uzbekistan under Global Changes in Hydroclimatic Conditions and Anthropogenic Transformation.”\nThe checklist represents the principal floristic components of the Amu Darya floodplain, including tugai forests and shrub communities, reed vegetation, wetland habitats, herbaceous communities, and vegetation associated with adjacent floodplain habitats. Characteristic components include species of Populus, Salix, Tamarix, Elaeagnus, Phragmites, Typha, Aeluropus, Halostachys, and Suaeda.\nBy integrating recent field observations with historical geobotanical data, the dataset provides a reference for biodiversity inventories, floristic and vegetation studies, long-term ecological monitoring, conservation planning, habitat restoration, and assessment of long-term vegetation dynamics in the Amu Darya floodplain.\n        ","language":"eng","citation":{"text":"Beshko N, Khabibullaev B, Shomurodov K, Korolyuk A, Alieva K (2026).
