Each transect was divided into sequential datapoints (A–Q). At each datapoint the ROV paused and organisms visible within the frame were identified to species where possible, counted and measured. Depth was recorded from the ROV pressure sensor (metres). Geographic position was logged by USBL navigation in WGS84. Substrate was classified visually into four categories: FF (fine fines), S (sand), G (gravel) and St (stone).
