Abstract
Two new species of the genus Atkinsoniella (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Cicadellinae), Atkinsoniella triapophysis sp. nov. and A. lidoctoris sp. nov., from China are described and illustrated. A. triapophysis sp. nov. is similar to A. thaloidea Young, 1986, A. flavipenna Li & Wang, 1992, A. uniguttata Li, 1993, A. bowa Yang, Meng & Li, 2017, A. stenopyga Jiang & Yang, 2023 in appearance, but can be distinguished by the characteristics of the pygofer, pygofer process, and aedeagus. A. lidoctoris sp. nov. is similar to A. thalia (Distant, 1918) in the morphology of the male genitalia but can be easily differentiated by its colour and markings. All type specimens of two new species are deposited at the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
