Core survey staff (the authors) were familiar with the species, and at least one (KB) attended every survey.  Location of plants were recorded using a DGPS (Hemisphere 2012-2014, Trimble Geo7x 2015-2023) and the following plant characteristics recorded: maximum and minimum plant width, height, stem diameter, number of flowers or capitula with seed, cotyledons (seedling), number of additional seedlings, canopy/habitat type, and landholding category.
