The most abundant species (>500 records) were Pluvialis apricaria (1029 observations), Melanocorypha calandra (800) and Vanellus vanellus (603)"},"samplingDescription":{"studyExtent":"The data were collected in the area covered by the Irrigatrion Block of Alvito-Pisão (block A) and in an adjacent control area, covering in total 21872 ha, in the municipalities of Vidigueira, Cuba and Beja.","sampling":"The methodology for sampling the lark was combined with the methodology for sampling the little bustard, with monthly sampling being carried out in the winter (February) and in the spring (April-June) of 2021 and 2022 in the 50 sampling points presented above. In addition to the lark (Melanocorypha calandra), other species from the same habitat guild were considered, particularly the stone-curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus), the little lark (Calandrella brachydactyla) and the wheatear (Oenanthe hispanica).
