The estimated geographical area covered by the sampling campaign was 63.41 km². The sampling included 25 TIs and 25 RIs. There were 150 sampling events with 75 of them on TIs and 75 on RIs. For 26 events, there were no flowering species present (15 TIs and 11 RIs). The total number of observations was 544. The KUGS (Kuopio’s urban green spaces) dataset contains information on the coverage of observed flowering plant species, the locations of the observations, and whether the areas had been mowed before the observations were made (dwc:dynamicProperties; "mowing_level": 0 assigned for islands which were not mowed, 1 assigned for islands which were mowed once and 2 assigned for islands which were mowed twice).\n        ","language":"eng","citation":{"text":"Korhonen A, Skaldina O (2025).
