(2007), which contains 748 taxa.  All taxon names were matched against the GBIF taxonomic backbone (https://www.gbif.org/dataset/d7dddbf4-2cf0-4f39-9b2a-bb099caae36c) using the GBIF Species Match API (https://api.gbif.org/v1/species/match).","The initial list was cross-referenced with the species list of the Florabank2 occurrence dataset (Van Landuyt et al., 2025) which yielded an additional 21 species. Species origins (native or neophyte) were retrieved from the FLORA databank (https://flora.inbo.be/) in order to complete  'establishmentMeans' (native/introduced). For the introduced species, 'degreeOfEstablishment' was completed based on the literature cited, and based on the distribution of these species in neighbouring countries. Presence in Wallonie/ Brussels/ Flanders was completed by checking distribution of occurrences for these species on GBIF, and checking that they were from reliable sources. These 21 species were added to the list.","In order to retrieve first and last dates of observation for all taxa, we generated an occurrence cube with the first and last eventDate for all the species in our list in Belgium (GBIF.org, 2025 - https://doi.org/10.15468/dl.qzx7kj). For the species that did not have registered occurrences on GBIF, we used the first/last observation dates that were described in Sotiaux et al.
