A Coleção Entomológica Danúncia Urban (CEDU), foi criada formalmente em 21 de maio de 2021 (https://www.taxonline.bio.br/cedu) e nomeada em homenagem à renomada pesquisadora da taxonomia de abelhas neotropicais.
Estabelecida especialmente para salvaguarda de amostras da biodiversidade de insetos da região oeste do Paraná em apoio à Pós-Graduação em Biodiversidade Neotropical (https://portal.unila.edu.br/programas-pos-graduacao/biodiversidade-neotropical), abriga atualmente mais de 40 mil espécimes preservados a seco, com maior representação da Floresta Atlântica e Caatinga, mas com exemplares de toda a região Neotropical. A CEDU faz parte da Rede Paranaense de Coleções Biológicas (Taxonline), com significativo apoio da Fundação Araucária/PR.
