This dataset contains 193 occurrence records of specimens belonging to the order Lepetellida, which are part of the Mollusca Collection of the Zoology Museum of the University of Concepcion. The specimens were collected between 1922 and 2009, primarily in Chile, from the Arica and Parinacota Region to the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region. The dataset also includes specimens from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Greenland, New Zealand, Spain, the United States and Uruguay. Specimens were collected by researchers and scientific expeditions, including the CIMAR 10 and the Chiloé Expedition. They are preserved as dry shells and in fluid (alcohol), and each is associated with a unique catalog number (MZUC-UCCC) and a defined storage location within the museum.This dataset includes type material (paratype) of one species deposited in the collection, Diodora codoceoae J. H. McLean & Andrade, 1982 (UCCC_MZUC_MOL_15527).Specimen data were initially recorded in an internal database of the museum and subsequently standardized following the Darwin Core (DwC) format. During this process, data consistency was reviewed, and when necessary, taxonomic nomenclature was updated using the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) “Taxon Match” tool. Geographic information was also validated to ensure that each record is associated with verifiable latitude and longitude coordinates. Finally, the dataset was validated using the GBIF data validator and the R package obistools prior to publication.
