The checklist comprises 267 species belonging to 178 genera and 47 families and was compiled from 56 geobotanical relevés. Most of the recent data was obtained during field surveys conducted between 2021 and 2025 in Samarkand, Navoi, and Bukhara Regions. Historical geobotanical records available in the IBIS database, as well as information from published geobotanical and floristic sources, were additionally used in compiling the checklist.\nThe recent field investigations were conducted within the framework of the fundamental research project F-FA-2021-450, “History of the Formation and Current Development Trends of Tugai Vegetation in Uzbekistan under Global Changes in Hydroclimatic Conditions and Anthropogenic Transformation.”\nThe checklist reflects the floristic diversity of floodplain forests and shrub communities, wet and mesic floodplain habitats, reed and herbaceous vegetation, and adjacent transitional ecosystems of the Zarafshan River valley. Characteristic components include Populus euphratica, Populus pruinosa, Elaeagnus angustifolia, species of Salix and Tamarix, Phragmites australis, Glycyrrhiza glabra, and numerous associated herbaceous taxa.\nBy combining recent field observations with historical geobotanical information, the dataset provides a reference for assessing the floristic diversity and long-term vegetation dynamics of the Zarafshan River floodplain. It can support biodiversity inventories, vegetation studies, ecological monitoring, conservation planning, habitat restoration, and comparative analyses of tugai ecosystems in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.\n        ","language":"eng","citation":{"text":"Beshko N, Khabibullaev B, Shomurodov K, Korolyuk A, Alieva K (2026).
