Species data generated from survey work undertaken on Local Biodiversity Sites by TWIC on behalf of Midlothian Council (contracted surveys). These are predominantly botanical site surveys, with incidental species records for other taxa collected as part of the site visits. Surveys are undertaken by TWIC staff, sometimes with a volunteer assisting.

A comprehensive vascular plant species list is generated for the site.
