The dataset currently includes twenty-seven species, comprising 1,102 records, referring to 6 phyla, 8 classes, 13 orders, 23 families and 25 genera. The literature review was conducted using Google Scholar’s advanced search tool, with the scientific names of the individual NIS combined with the term \"Mediterranean Sea\" as search terms.
